This wiki aims to gather the most relevant news, information, and participants of the Climate Tech ecosystem around Latin America. We aspire for this to be a collaborative effort, bringing together all the facts and participants working towards climate innovation in the region, and thank all who contributed to making this project happen.
Latin America is the most urbanized region in the world, with over 80% of the population living in cities. Cities in this region are dealing with traffic congestion, vehicle emissions, energy consumption, urban sprawl, and the loss of green spaces, impacting the region’s environmental sustainability and contributing to the broader global climate crisis.
Climate issues in the region will only be compounded over the coming decades with its expanding middle class and projected population increase by another 150 million people by 2050, with an urban density of 90%.
This is a collaborative effort, and we would love for you to join! 🌳
